Privacy
We try to keep this site simple and the data practices behind it the same. This page lists what we collect, why, and what we deliberately don't do. If anything changes, we'll update this page.
Analytics
We use Plausible Analytics to count page views and see roughly which pages are popular. Plausible is privacy-friendly: it does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not track you across the web. The data is aggregated and anonymous.
Contact form
The form on /contact/ takes three fields: your name, your email, and the message you write. We use them for one purpose: to reply to you.
When you submit, the message passes through a small Cloudflare Worker on our domain (which runs Cloudflare Turnstile to filter out bots), and then gets forwarded to our inbox via Cloudflare Email Service. From there it sits in our regular email, just like any other conversation. We don't add you to a mailing list, sync your details into a CRM, or share them with anyone outside the team.
Bookings
Bookings are handled by Airbnb and Booking.com, not by us. When you book through one of those platforms, you're subject to their privacy policies. We only see the information they pass to us about confirmed reservations (name, dates, contact details), and we only use it to host you.
Cloudflare Turnstile
Turnstile is Cloudflare's privacy-friendly alternative to reCAPTCHA. It runs on the contact form to verify that a real person submitted it. It does not set tracking cookies and does not follow you across the web. Cloudflare's own data handling is described in their privacy policy.
Cookies
We don't set any cookies of our own. Cloudflare may set essential cookies that route requests and protect the site from attacks. They are not used for tracking or advertising.
What we don't do
- No advertising or marketing pixels
- No selling, renting, or sharing of personal data
- No user accounts, logins, or session storage
- No marketing emails (you only hear from us if you wrote first)
- No data retention beyond what email naturally keeps
Your rights
Niteo House is operated by Niteo SI d.o.o., registered in Slovenia, so the GDPR applies to anything we hold. You can ask us what we have on file, request a copy, ask for corrections, or ask us to delete it. Send the request through our contact form and we'll handle it.
